Joshua N. Steinvurzel, M.D.

 

 

Dr. Joshua Steinvurzel graduated from Pascack Hills High School in Montvale, NJ where he was a varsity football and track athlete. He received his bachelor's degree with honors in biology from Tufts University in Boston, MA in 1997. Dr. Steinvurzel then attended the New Jersey Medical School at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he received his MD degree in 2001. Dr. Steinvurzel then completed a general surgery internship at St Vincent's hospital in New York City from 2001-2002 and an orthopaedic surgery residency at St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Centers from 2002-2006. He then completed the San Diego Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship in San Diego, Ca from 2006-2007 where he worked with the team physicians of the San Diego Padres and San Diego State University athletics.

Dr Steinvurzel is a Board Certified orthopaedic surgeon and is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He is also a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His personal hobbies include snowboarding, golf, cooking and travel. Dr. Steinvurzel is also fluent in Spanish.
